New ERP system loading………
With more than 40 years in business, Secura Labels is steeped in tradition, and we are well versed in the ‘proper’ way of doing things, but time stands still for no one, and with the growth in automation and the increasing pressures on operational efficiencies, we knew it was time for a step change in our back office technology.
This last year has seen significant investment across the business which is already delivering both operational and customer facing benefits, but one of the biggest changes, which we are now in the latter stages of, is the implementation and roll out of our brand new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system from the label industry experts at CERM.
Whilst our 'old' ERP system (complete with paper job tickets and hand written updates (a 'knowledge-based system!) has served us well, in the increasingly competitive world of self-adhesive labels, it is time to trade in our old work horse, and upgrade to a shiny new system, complete with plenty of whistles and bells.
Of course, anyone who has been through an ERP upgrade project knows that ‘new’ and ‘shiny’ often come with a side order of ‘Which button do I press now?’ and a fair amount of ‘I think we are going to need more coffee!!’
Once the dust settles though, the good news is that the new system will streamline our operations, boost efficiency and ultimately, provide a better service to you, our customers across the UK. In short, a little initial frustration will lead to long term stability and brilliance.
So if we look or sound slightly frazzled in the next few weeks, don’t worry - it’s still the same highly skilled Secura Labels team, producing the same high-quality products. We are just going through the quite normal ERP system implementation’s rite of passage.
We do appreciate your patience while we implement these serious improvements for you - things are progressing well!
The light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train, it’s just our shiny new ERP dashboard loading!
