Supply Chain Delays - Further Update
Update 22nd April 2022 -
Following the disappointment of last Friday, today, 22nd April, we have finally received the the welcome news that the strike action at the UPM mill in Finland has been resolved.
We await further details on production and when it is expected that the mills will be back to normal, but the general feeling is that we will still face supply issues well in to the Autumn of 2022. Delivery for materials is currently running well in to July at present and even if production started with immediate effect, there is quite some catching up to do.
Please keep an eye on our Social Media where we will try and bring more details as we get them.
We had hoped that today, 14th April, would be a turning point in the long running industrial action at the Finnish paper plants, as this was the date set by by the Government appointed conciliator for resolution on proposals set down. There had been some positive reports regarding the possible outcome, but we read that these proposals have been rejected.
This is "breaking" news and we will update as we gather further details -
